Whether looking at the Mayan calendar end point, the approaching technological singularity, or the mounting crisis points of the world it becomes apparent that our reality is about to shift. For better or worse we do not know, but it is obvious that radical change is directly in front of us. This Shift, which awaits us at a not too distant time in the future, is an evolutionary bifurcation, a fork in the road of our evolutionary trek that will propel humanity into the next paradigm. Within the Akashic field reservoir, also known as the zero point field, is the stored information that has been imprinted upon it by countless creations before us, other universes, other iterations of the one multi-verse. All this information is accessible to any mystic or seer who is able to interface with that field and behold the information that is eternally embedded there; this is how prophecy works.

Prophecy has prevailed upon us as a continuous sense of urgency to action that helps us along the path of innovation and construction, and it has been beheld by the prophets in many cultures that the current period time in which we live is a time when things will intensify, eventually break and will bring forth a new mode of being. In the tradition of the Maya, the earth’s alignment with galactic center on December 21, 2012 is the end date of the “Long Count” calendar, and this date was foretold by the shaman /astronomers as the time when life as we know it will be born anew. The true understanding of this prophecy gives humanity an awakened sense of hope during stressful times of impending disaster. However, the notions of the populace about the calendar of the Maya are opposite, the popular notions are that it foretells of “The End.”

But the calendar of the Maya is not the only harbinger of things to come. As technology increases exponentially there will be a time in our future when human consciousness and technology will harmoniously combine to create a new paradigm, a new way for humans to understand and possibly interact with their world. This new interface will conceivably give us the power of creating our own universes and move us into the next spectrum of evolution.

According to Ervin Laszlo, chaos theory has shown that in late 2012 our cultural evolution bifurcates, and we either encounter enlightenment, or we tumble down the path of self-destruction. From his synopsis of the event, it becomes obvious that the test is now upon us, and humanity is being called to make a crucial choice. The reason this moment may arise is that the world is an exceedingly complex system, and as chaos theorists have discovered, the interaction of highly complex systems brings forth entirely new systems that transcend their predecessors. It is the job of the shaman to interpret the visions and signs before him correctly and gear his community for success, enabling them to overcome the obstacles that confront them and take the higher road.

But before this can happen critical mass within the collective conscious has to be reached, and the spill-over into enlightenment has to occur.

But what does that mean? What has to occur? We as individuals have the responsibility to learn the way of the spiritual warrior and lead others by our example. We are not just accountable to ourselves but to the proceeding generations that follow us. We must seek with all our hearts minds the true betterment of all of mankind. To hold onto individual or nationalistic identities at the expense of others is to fail our duty as humans upon the earth. We must enter a cooperative mode of being if we are to ever have hope of overcoming the obstacles before us. We are entering the steeper portions of the exponential growth curve of technology and the ever widening of our own expanding consciousness. These two things are just beginning to coalesce and interface catalyzing the awakening noosphere, the sphere of global thought. The noosphere is a layer of global synced mind that upon the world of nature, the biosphere. In the notions of Jesuit priest and paleontologist, Teilhard de Chardin, from this noosphere the Omega Point will dawn.

Act three of this Universal play has begun and is the conclusion of our old way of being. Yet we do not know how this story will end, for the determining factors are in human hands. We are held in limbo between two poles, one of unimaginable chaos and the other quintessential order. It is our birthright to decide the fate of humanity and be contributors to the noosphere. What we do is still up in the air, but I have faith we will get the job done!
