Marilyn called to say, “While doing a self examination, I found a fast-growing, large hard marble size lump in my left breast. My doctor sent me to get a mammogram. Upon examining me the technician as well as the on site doctor made gestures and comments that scared me.”

I did an energetic clearing session (by telephone) with Marilyn focused on eliminating the root causes of the lump. She was upset and scared. We had another session before the mammogram (which revealed the large lump), and a third one afterward, thirty minutes to 1 hour each time.

As a result of the first two sessions the lump softened and was slightly reduced in size. I was puzzled that it was not going away, and started thinking about why the lump would be in the breast. What do breasts represent? There is the obvious sexual over-emphasis on breasts and size by both men and women.

I thought about both the physical nourishment function of breasts and the emotional mothering and nurturing they represent. In our sessions Marilyn had spoken about a son she was very concerned about. I checked her energy for feelings of emotional over-mothering and over- nurturing. She was deeply feeling both. She also had feelings of over-guarding, over-protecting, over-analyzing, over-worrying and over-internalizing.

Very Pleasant Surprise
As soon as we made the energetic corrections to clear away these over-protective emotions, the lump size immediately reduced by 50%. There was no time delay – it just shrunk! We had two more sessions and the lump was gone and did not return. That was 3 1/2 years ago.
In the normal course of working with clients a par of the energy work is to scan the client to see where their energy is weak and where it is strong. Marilyn had weak energy flowing into her breasts. After the fifth session Marilyn’s energy was once again flowing fully into her breasts.

Part of the work is to sharpen skills in perceiving energy flows. I call it additional-sensory perception. All of us sense what’s going on with others and we do it in different ways. For example, people tend to notice the mood of a person when they walk into a room or when talking with them on the telephone.

What else was causing the lump?
There were four other primary areas of non-physical root causes:

a. Health and wellness fears – of degeneration and dying and leaving her family
b. Negative beliefs - There are numerous levels of negative beliefs in our culture, including environmental and substance risks, survival rates, expert opinion, research, and prescribed treatments and their side effects. Another area of belief is around having the gene that increases the risk of getting breast cancer (the gene belief did not apply to Marilyn). These beliefs tend to support our dis-ease. What we pay attention to is what we create.
c. Losing sense of joy and happiness – she had unconsciously been losing her sense of happiness for a couple of years. This weakened her sense of well being and immune response.
d. “Lumps” in her thinking – such as
1) Things can’t change.
2) No faith in things changing.
3) Fearful of taking next steps in life
4) Putting everyone else first and not taking care of herself
5) Being bothered by having small or large breasts. This did not apply to Marilyn - it has been present with other clients.

Physical causes accounted for only about 15% of the roots. She exercises regularly, eats well, and is in good shape. Both the non-physical and physical root causes were energetically cleared away.

Would these same roots be causing lumps for other women?
Another part of the energy work is to prepare for doing the work, which includes being neutral and non-reactive to whatever is going on with a client, and to know nothing….not assume you know what their symptoms are or what is causing them.

This experience with Marilyn did get me to check clients whose energy to their breasts is weak for over-protective emotions. In energetically checking over 40 clients with weak energy in their breasts there have been 2 or more of the over-protective emotions present in each of them.

It appears that these emotions create an energy blockage that reduces the normal positive energy flows to breasts. This is not a report on a clinical study – rather it is an amazing illustration of what our thoughts can do to our energy and our body.

What does it mean to “energetically clear away” the roots of our symptoms?
Some basic premises of this energy work are that:
a. Our natural state is health, wellness and vitality.
b. We want to be in and stay in this state.
c. We don’t consciously know why we get away from this state (other than the strong beliefs and experiences that we degenerate as we age). Anything that bothers us weakens our energy and thus can create energy blockages.
d. There are root causes for all of our symptoms.
e. Our symptoms are us communicating with ourselves that there are some energetic blockages we need to get rid of.
f. In our upbringing and schooling most of us have not learned - and the experts don’t know how - to eliminate the roots that cause the blockages.
g. The focus of most modalities is to alleviate, suppress, or “learn to live with” our symptoms.
h. There are simple energetic corrections that can eliminate the roots.
i. The complicated part is that we human beings have hundreds of causes for our symptoms.
j. We (anyone) can learn to quickly eliminate the root causes, the symptoms go away, and we get back to our natural state.

We can learn how to make ourselves energetically healthy and strong, and support others in being healthy and strong, as well. There are an increasing number of modalities and products that can help us create support for what we want in our lives.
