1. On Sept.
13th a remarkable fireball split
the skies over New Mexico. Witnesses say it “turned night
into day” and reminded them of a full Moon hurtling across
the sky. At least two cameras captured the event while one amateur
astronomer recorded radio echoes from the fireball’s ionized

2. The Iraqi government is revoking the license of an American
security firm accused of involvement in the deaths of eight civilians
in a firefight following a car bombing. Iraq said it would prosecute
any foreign contractors found to have used excessive force in
the shooting. The U.S. firms are widely disliked by Iraqis who

4. Results of a study published 12/29/06 in Molecular Vision
show that a synthetic version of bear bile, used in Asia for
more than 3,000 years to prevent visual disorders, had a yet-unexplored
potential to treat retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular

5. Twice this year, in Michigan’s Eastern District Court,
a team of U.S. DOJ Attorneys and Judge Nancy G. Edmunds ordered
Peter and Doreen Hendrickson to testify against themselves.granting
the DOJ summary judgment in a lawsuit filed to force the Hendricksons
to change sworn testimony on their tax returns in order to give
the federal government a pretext for claiming the couple owed income

6. The U.S. FDA directed the manufacturers of all (ADHD) drug
products to develop Patient Medication Guides to alert to possible
cardiovascular risks and risks of adverse psychiatric symptoms
associated with the medicines. Use of ADHD products have been
linked with sudden death. 2.5 million children now take ADHD
drugs, including nearly 10 percent of all 10-year-old boys in
