Today, I Herb The Cat will
deviate from my usual egotistical barrage of rantings and ravings about
how spiritual I am to become your teacher. Some months ago, I promised
that the very next month I would instruct you on how to become united
with your Higher Self. I promptly went on vacation with Cutie Kitty
and like any other red blooded American cat, I forgot all about spirituality
and went straight to one of the lower Chakras. I repent of my grievous
sin and will herein instruct you.
The first thing you do is to get into a meditative state. If you don’t
meditate, stop reading, close this magazine and go learn. Meditation
is so important that it is a prerequisite to this course. I now assume
that if you are still reading, that you can meditate. Now the next
thing I want you to do is find a quiet place where you will not be
disturbed by either your pet humans or your fellow cats. Put on some
quiet meditative music by Billy James, get into a comfortable position
and just relax!
As you sit there in your comfortable chair, slowly count backwards
from 25 to 1, assigning each number to a part of your body starting
with your nose and ending with your tail. As your body relaxes, your
mind follows, thinning out the veil between your conscious and subconscious
mind. |
You may repeat this as many times
as you need until you are in a deep meditative state. Then visualize
a large full-length mirror in front of you and see yourself reflected
in the mirror. As you stare at the mirror, you will notice that the
reflection is older and wiser and has to be your Higher Self. Tell
your Higher Self that you would like to be fully united with it to
have its wisdom, knowledge and spirituality.
Visualize the chair with your higher self on it coming out of the
mirror and becoming one with you. Now ask for a signal that you are
united. With me, all of a sudden, my left paw jumped up off the armrest.
It may be different for you, but stay in there and keep working until
it comes. After that, you can sit down, ask for your signal and know
you are there with your Higher Self. Now you can talk to the wisest
being in the Universe, your Higher Self. Don’t be surprised when
it answers!
