CODEX Alementarius: Fight to the Death
for the Land of Plenty
by Sherry Henderson
I recently had the pleasure
of reconnecting with Dr. Rima Laibow and Gen. Albert Stubblebine,
founders of Natural Solutions Foundation. They closed a highly successful
medical practice to fight the war against CODEX using their own resources.
We had originally met in Asheville N.C. this spring at a CODEX informational
conference. I spoke to them here in Atlanta where they were attending
a fundraiser, “Night of the Goddess (put on by Asha Dance & Self
Care Freedom, Inc.) to help support their work. Here’s what
Dr. Laibow and Gen. Stubblebine had to say about CODEX.
SH: Just what is CODEX?
RL: CODEX Alimentarius translates from Latin and means rules for
food. And indeed, food does rule.
SH: So how did you get involved in the CODEX reform movement?
RL: I’m a physician and I’ve been practicing drug free
medicine for my entire career. At no time could I understand how
using drugs, which destroy enzymes could make someone well. But using
nutrients, which support the enzymes and the life processes is a
very helpful way to help people move from being ill to being well
and to help people stay well . So practicing natural medicine, I
had a very clear understanding of the benefits of a clean healthy
unadulterated diet and high potency nutrients and that includes dietary
supplements, herbs, homeopathics etc.
I had been watching CODEX Alementarius for about ten years. I’m
one of those people to whom information gets presented. And I’m
also one of those people who can’t turn away when something
rings…. Says pay attention to me. So I paid attention, I watched
and I listened at a time when CODEX was virtually unknown to anybody
outside the food regulatory process and the pharmaceutical industry.
I was growing more and more concerned during that time because CODEX
was expanding its contamination. It was growing more powerful and
was becoming more and more of a global danger.
Finally in 2004, I sent a package of over the counter nutrients to
a friend of mine in Italy who was having some cardiac issues. On
December 4, 2004, that package was stopped at the Italian border
as contraband. Now on November 1, 2004, the European Union had adopted
the European Food Supplements Directive (EFSD). This directive is
the structure that is responsible for removing from all European
shelves all supplements that have any physiological impact.
So within one month from November 4, 2004 to December 4, 2004, Italy
had gotten in gear to keep supplements out. And I said to myself, “This
is being carried and run with in a way that indicates that this is
well beyond regulatory minutia.” So over the course of that
month, I saw a number of other things.
AS: Keeping in mind that Italy of all countries, a country that has
problems implementing even the smallest of changes was able to completely
implement this ban of supplements in only one month.
RL: So that was an alert and I saw the Guidelines for Vitamins and
Minerals as Food (VMG) Supplements was being readied for ratification
the following July by the CODEX Alementarius Commission. I looked
at the calendar and I looked at my soul and I said right – We’ve
got six months to mount a worldwide campaign starting with the United
States to prevent the ratification of this document. The VMG treats
nutrients as toxins. Under CODEX nutrients are toxins. They are treated
as toxins so that very tiny upper limits are set, so low that the
nutrient can have no impact on the human body.
SH: But what about the Health Care Freedom of Choice act of 1994,
the DeShay act?
RL: Under U. S. law, DeShay, nutrients are foods. No upper limits
can be put on their use, because they’re safe and the dosage
is the consumer’s choice. The problem here is that on October
11, 1995 the FDA announced in the Federal Register that it will give
preference to international standards over domestic ones. Under CODEX
as it now stands, it is forbidden to associate any component of food
with a health benefit, in speech, professional consultation, in any
form of communication, public or private.
SH: But why would our government want to do that? Who does it serve?
RL: There are five constituencies that are served here: Big Pharma,
Big Chema, Big Medica, Big Agra Biz and Big Bio Techna. Of these,
the main driver is Big Pharma. The pharmaceutical is the most profitable
industry in the world. It is more prosperous than war. The pharmaceutical
industry is at war with your health, because if you’re healthy,
you’re not a customer. The pharmaceutical industry requires
you, your children, your neighbors, and everyone in the world to
be sick in order for them to have maximum profits. This industry
understands the nature of health, but they understand the nature
of illness as well. They understand that if the food supply is adulterated,
and if nutrients of all classes are unavailable, then people are
going to be sick. Healthy people are terrible customers for the illness
industry and we don’t have a health care industry. We have
an illness care industry, an illness sales industry.
I’m a child psychiatrist by training and I know that if you
want to know about a child, it’s helpful to look at the parents.
So let’s take a look at the parents of CODEX. Cut to WWII.
The German war machine had a civilian component called I.G. Farbin,
which made the synthetic fuel, the munitions, the railroad trains,
mined the steel, made the drugs, made the chemicals, was the industrial
arm of Germany. It was one large combine with many companies inside
it. There were five pharmaceutical companies in the mix. John D.
Rockefeller owned 50% of the stock. Prescott Bush, and Franklin D.
Roosevent’s family owned the lion’s share of the rest.
At the end of the war, the allies convened in the Nuremburg war tribunals
to hold people accountable for crimes against humanity. One of the
people who was convicted for crimes against humanity was the over
manager or C.E.O. of I.G. Farbin, Fritz ter Meer, who was responsible
for creating the German death camp system and for the extermination
of the defectives and children who might be defective and for running
the German slave labor system. He also sold people for pharmaceutical
experiments (with 100% mortality).
