This Month’s Cover Art
Lilly Angel
by Lisa Iris
As daylilies reach their zenith this month, our August cover
brings you “Lily Angel” by Lisa Iris, commissioned
by Hay House author, Doreen Virtue, P.h.D.
Lisa writes “So many influences went into this work, from
the sumptuous ladies of Art Nouveau to the poster art of the
Fillmore East, but it’s always loved ones who breath life
into a painting. Lily Angel is no doubt inspired by my new twin
great niece and nephew, Lilly and Charles. From now on, it’s
all about them!
Another source of inspiration was my friend Lisa who has wildly
long hair. Her daughter Sarah was writing a daring play about
Persephone for school. They included me in their whirl of excitement,
hence, this angel morphed into a composite of their beauty, creativity
and unlimited potential. As each girl discovers Persephone, a
huge stone is rolled back and we step into our own light.”
